Cameras that take CF cards

I've been looking for a camera that takes a CF Card, I prefer them over the newer SD card but it seems there are no modern cameras that I can find that take CF Cards. I won 2 Canon 400D cameras of ebay for 140 pounds I was told they are good cameras and they take CF Cards but these cameras are only 10 Mega Pixels and don't produce good photos, however they feel like good quality cameras.

I have been thinking about buying a used Canon 700D or otherwise known as the Rebel T5i which I hear is a decent camera and I'm wondering if the lenses would be interchangeable with the canon 400d model?

Are there any modern cameras that use CF cards?

I think they are usually reserved for full frame professional level cameras

The 400D while being ancient and "only" 10mp is still a capable camera if paired with the right lens for the right environment, but as a £50 camera you are still getting what you are paying for compared to the rest of the market. After the 400D that series moved on to SD, same with those after the 40D, 7D still used CF but is also considered ancient which only has the 5D and 1D still using CF.

The speed and reliability of modern SD cards is more than good enough for a typical dslr.

Before deciding on what camera you want to buy, what lenses do you have and what do you want to shoot? A new lens will bring more life to the 400d than a new camera would to a kit lens unless you have some specific shooting requirements that would take advantage of higher ISO and focus speed.
 
Thanks everybody for your replies. I had a feeling it was more about the lens rather than the mega pixels of the camera alone. I'm looking for a good zoom lens to take photos of the Moon and other distant objects. I would also like to a lens good for taking photos of insects, plus zooming in on things like birds in trees and stuff like that. I don't think the lens I already have on the 400D cameras are anything special, they are just standard 18-55 mm lenses that ship with the cameras.

You will need something like 600mm for the moon, this is very expensive, and also a tripod.

For insects you will want either the Canon 100mm Macro L or the MP-E and probably a source of light that you can control. Macro photography will get you really thin DOF so you need to stop down and then add more light.
 
Probably the best camera that takes a CF card is the 1DX Mk II. It also has a Cfast 2.0 slot as well. The original 1DX body hass two CF slots.

The 1DX III moved onto dual CFExpress Type B cards.
 
I'm not so keen on the shape of the 1DX the 400D is actually growing on me, I'm quite liking the camera now, I've been so used to using my Panasonic Lumix which does everything for you where as the Canon 400D is a bit more involving and can still take good photos.

I like the sound of CF Express.
