Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Gaming OC V2 LHR 12GB GDDR6 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Vs
MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Gaming Z TRIO LHR 12GB GDDR6 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Hey all as the title suggests im just looking for a bit of help in camparing these two GFX cards.
Not sure what i need to be looking for these days as not purchased a gfx card in like 10 years so im defo due an upgrade. Would love to get 1 that "future proofs" me for a while also where possible.

From what i can make out they both seem to have the same specs more or less.
My case is air cooled only so can get rather hot so where it is located, so keeping it cool is on my list of "top" prioties.

Thank you in advance for any help / suggestions given.

What games do you play?

TBH the price of those I think I would go AMD

It's a lot more future proof than a 3060.
Nothing to GPU heavy tbh, League, D3, Fifa sometimes play MW and icarus there the most GPU heavy, its more that im running an ancient 1 right now haha all my PC is nvidea / msi so dont think AMD would fit?
Thanks

If it was a 3060ti might be a better buy but the 6700xt is a much better proposition it will "fit" fine. Ray Tracing doesnt really come into it either as the 3060 is not that great at RT anyway.

Do they have DLSS on either of the 3060's? i can probably go a bit higher in the £££ if its worth it xD

They do. Problem is the 3060 is a bit of an oxymoron card because even with DLSS enabled it still can't do RT. It's just not powerful enough.

If Ray Tracing isn't your thing (sounds like it isn't) then the 6700XT is a much, much faster card. Way faster in fact. It's in the same league as the 3070 with more VRAM.

As Tommy mentioned if the 3070 FE is available at RRP on Nvidia's site that too would be a much better buy. If not? then I would give serious consideration to the 6700XT. I'd been on Nvidia since the Titan Black, so many years. Problem was when I came to buy this time around I got a 6800XT far cheaper than any competing Nvidia card and I mostly play PUBG. Which the 6800XT is faster than the 3090 at.

Before buying any GPU think about newer games you would like to play and then look at benchmarks and etc. Don't just blindly buy something like a premium 3060, as underneath those huge coolers it's still a 3060.

Neither. The cheaper of the 2 is 30% over the current going rate brand new price of a 2 fan entry 3060 model. For sure, you can't really overclock anything other than the memory on the entry boards or achieve silence from their coolers. But those 2 cards are almost at entry 3060ti price. The more expensive one all but is at 3060ti pricing.

Unless you specifically need 12gb for non gaming applications, get an entry brand 3060ti.

No, 3070ti is in no way 'worth' more than the 70-you won't even notice the difference in game!

Save money and get the 3070 FE!

What are you waiting for?:pStill can't find it? :p

I was expecting it to be out of stock but...

I notice their delivery charge has had 15% inflation since I picked up a FE last year.
I must be bad at googling the only shop I can see selling a 3070 FE is Amazon for £900 or on eBay.. nvm I found it… just didn’t state it was FE my bad thanks all
