Hi Clockers. I've nominated myself to organise a weekend away camping for me my mates for the back end of June/early July. Probably looking at around 10 of us.

Are there any decent camp sites in the Peak District that allow male only parties?

Also, we'd probably like to do something fun during the day. Something like clay pigeon shooting/archery - that type of thing.

Do any of you know of a suitable location(s)?

Thanks

Gary

If it doesn't have to be camping my colleague was telling me some time ago about a stag do they went on in the peak district. They hired a barn out for a long weekend for very little each, had a pool table, kitchen, bar, etc. and there was a load of stuff to do during the days, quad biking, shooting, paintballing, etc.

Tempted to post the "ha gayyyyy" gif :D.

Yeah I've been to a similar thing as GILLY! describes it was a lot of fun I'll see if I can find out who did it if you're interesting.

this sounds beast

If you're looking for a camping site then good luck finding one that accepts bookings for a male only party over the phone! 3 years ago me and my housemates had to drive all the way there so we could haggle being allowed to stay. Not sure if this has changed now

People aren't allowed to discriminate against homosexuals anymore so it should be fine :D.

Edale Youth Hostel, you can hire out a cottage (sleeps 10) or remote barn and rough it!!!!

Lots of activities onsite like rafting, assault course, Quad bikes, Archery. Plus you can go caving/potholing close by in castleton.

I was just about to post Edale, but the campsite near by called Coopers Campsite. Great pub near by but, I'm not sure if they have a policy for big groups. Last time I went there were only 4 of us.

There's a few in edale if coopers won't let you on, farmers field just down the road to the right, and the place next door to the ramblers.

Tbh though last time i was on coopers, i think there were groups of lads. You do have to keep stung though late at night.

Either way, peak district, it's where you want to be heading, the hope valley is the best of it.

We've stayed at coopers and farmers field opposite mam nick Road plenty of times in all male groups (mountain biking). But edale yha is great too and also accept male groups.
