Can a DDR3 run side by side along with DDR3L low voltage ?

Can a DDR3 run side by side along with a DDR3L low voltage of the same speed (1600 PC312800) ?
Laptop original configuration has DDR3L 2GB installed, need to be upgraded to 4GB. But what was found in market is DDR3 standard (without L) 1.5v, can it just be inserted in the readily available SODIMM slot and expected to work well normally and flawlessly ?

In my experience it will work out just fine. Best bet is to pop it in and have a look. I've seen all sorts of weird memory mixes in laptops over the years and it mostly just works.
