can a iphone sync with outlook without itunes

I'm getting my wife a IPhone and she would like to sync her iphone with her work outlook. They wont let her put Itunes on the machine.

So can it be done?????

You need a PC with iTunes to activate the handset (although you could use a home PC for that)

You can manually configure the iPhone to sync to an exchange account if that's what you mean.

Activating the iphone isn't a problem we have itunes at home, what she wants to do is just plug the iphone into her work PC and then sync it with her outlook ( contact, emails diary , tasks etc)

as above, if her office are running exchange she can do this OTA (over the air).

Indeed, it will have to be done OTA as you need iTunes to sync outlook accounts. Sorry.
