I got a old laptop lying around it's about 10 years old and running windows 98, i have an s-video out and a home cinema projector with an s-video in, even though i got a desktop PC i would like to dig this old laptop out of the cupboard. Would S-video connection work in windows 98 from the laptop to projector, is it just plug and play or is there some drivers needed to get the picture onto the projector. My laptop graphics card has max resolution of 1280x1024 and my projector natives resolution is 1280x720p.

any help much appreciated

TIA

Yes you should be able to do it, S-Video is a bit lousy though and limited to 720x576. Does your projector have VGA input?
