Just not black enough, a bit of anodising can sort that though :p

Looking very nice indeed.

Where are you going to put the rad(s) matt100?

that would be telling ;) its all going inside the case except what you've already seen.. thats all I'm saying.

Interesting, seems the pictures don't do it justice though - looks rather charcoal to me, was the case originally black when purchased or was it silver and you had the whole lot anodised at the same time?

No they don't do it justice at all.. camera phone pics and weird lighting in my shed... it was black and I've had the insides done black to match but the colour match is 100% bang on. Nicely matt finished not brushed obviously and I think that makes it look even better.. just trying desperately not to scratch it now!

well its just the same as normal anodised alu.. I've not managed to scratch my pc65b in any meaningful way and god knows I've tried :p

a lot less than you might think!

about £50 for the anodising and then £10 for a rivet gun and rivets which is obviously not going to get thrown in the bin when I'm done.

There will be a full project log when I get started :p

no progress until at least the weekend, maybe not even then.. I need an s775 waterblock you see.

as for lighting, I was going to go with just UV ones so all you can see are the water loops.

man alive! I've knocked 20 degrees off my idle temp accoridng to coretemp :D

and it looks MENTAL.

Only problem is I think I have 1 noisy pump :( might be ok once it run a while, it ran all night leak testing and I realised I wasn't running any fans to remove the heatdump and the water was quite hot this morning...

here's a teaser, loads more to come.
