Can a monitor with a ips panel be configured to work for games with dark backgrounds?

I'm going to get myself a new monitor with an ips panel because the motion blur of my va panel is too problematic for me. Problem is that I play a lot of games with dark backgrounds such as space sims. Everything I read about ips panels suggest that this is problematic. Thanks

Thanks For the response. Unfortunately i don't have access to any stores where i live and can't afford mini leds.
