Hallo Overclockerz :)

I've decided to get another HD since Im running outta room on my current one. The interface type is SATA.

I've never added another HDD before, installation shouldnt be too hard but what I would like to ask you guys is this:

I would like to install the new drive as a completely independent drive - if I understand "RAID" it "mirrors" drive data etc - I do not want that. I want the old drive to read/write data when I tell it to and the same for the new one.

I plan for the new HD to hold all my programmes and the old one to have Windows.

Thanx :D

Just plug the HDD in, ensure it's all connected properly and ensure it's formatted... that's all you need to do and the computer will detect it as a logical drive. RAID is a completely seperate issue. :)
