Hi All,

I am on my third Gigabyte radeon 280x which I am going to put in tonight to test but I'm concerned I may have a bigger problem then just 2 bad cards.

The first card was DOA and was returned as faulty. The second was showing corruptions during game play and OCUK tested it as crashing under heavy load.

I have been sent a new one and wanted to check to see if you know of anything that may cause graphics cards damage? I'm using my old radeon 5850HD in the system now and it's fine.

Specs:
Asus m5a97 evo r2.0
amd 8320 (not overclocked)
sandisk 120gb SSD
2 x samsung spinpoint f3 500gb
OCZ 700W modular PSU
Antec 300

Also I can't get the rear soundports to detect my logitec 5.1 surround sound speakers, I don't think that is related though.

Thanks

It can do if its not delivering enough power or indeed to much, but the chances are that you 5850 is ok and most prob uses more or same power as the 280X, what amp rating is your psu? check that against the requirements of the card
