Can a VM connect to a VPN?

Hi, just a quick one! I have Windows XP Pro installed on to a virtual machine. Every now and again, I need to connect to a VPN in the USA for work purposes.

Will the virtual instance of XP connect OK, or is there other factors I need to address before it will work properly?

Should work absolutely fine. I use XP instances installed in VMware virtual machines quite regularly to connect to VPNs using the Cisco, Juniper and Aventail clients.
