Can an external HDD be used with torrent apps.

Hey just wonderin if an external hard drive connected via USB can be used with utorrent. Is this a good idea? Any limitations? Anyone do it? Thanks.

You mean as a download location? I don't see why it couldn't be used for that.

yes you can

i've been using 2 external hard drives for torrents and making game avi's (using fraps and recording to external hard drive to increase performance by about 50%)

for years ... there are a few other uses aswell, i suggest you use TrueCrypt www.truecrypt.org to encrypt the hard drives first

if your not only planning on downloading 'open source'
