your spec is OTT, the motherboard, the i7 950 cpu isnt worth the extra over a 930, and two GTX470 are much better than a GTX480, the REVO drive is also overpriced and I believe doesnt support TRIM.

thanks for that lol is there really any difference (apart from price) between the 950 and 930? also i wanted the rampage to kind of future proof the build, is that a bad idea i do roughly have 1500 to spend if that helps and forgot to mention i have a dvd drive. i was really wanting to get the best things i can for that sort of budget. want it to last as long as possible :)

there is about a 200mhz difference between the two cpu's, just not worth the extra £30.

heres a review of the excellent sabertooth motherboard - http://www.guru3d.com/article/asus-tuf-sabertooth-x58-review/

Only the price mainly, they will most probably overclock the same.

The Rampage in my mind has no more future proof than the cheaper versions.

no i was wondering if i should upgrade the 275 to a 470/480

The SLI setup speced above will kick your 275 into touch, you could always sell.

spending that much on a mobo wont make your build "future proof".
and uhmmm a revo drive, why not just get a normal ssd for half a price

+1 to stulid's spec. Socket 1366 is end of line and a RE3 is no more future proof than any other 1366 board (unless you think your hobby might become running pointless benchmarks with a 1366 CPU and quad-sli :p). With the spare money, well, either keep it in your pocket or put it to better use than an e-peen mobo - decent mouse/keyboard, decent/additional monitor(s), Bluray, etc etc

heres after abit of a modification lol
