I have got a Dell latitude D520, thats not well lol understament.
trying to breath life into it for a friend.
its had some thing poured over the keyboard, so they tryed to lift the keys , it now has no space bar, they then tryed to open it up
and just used the screw driver to seperat it but not do the screws I think by the looks of it.
any way most of the keys look like they work , but there are no idiot lights and the on button don't work. got a usb keyboard that can get me in to the set up ect, but wont let me input the widows password.
is there any way of forcing it to use the usb k/b or getting round the windows password ?
it also wont boot properly ,cant think why lol. but nead to get into windows which it looks like it will if, I can get it to take the password I have , the password uses numbers which might be iffy to say the least .
will have to check tomorrow if the password is correct , upper and lower case ect. at 16 letters it would take me forever to try all the combies.
any ideas.
its on XP by the way.
