Can anybody help finding a Beetle or Minor wedding car please?

Hi

I'll be getting married in July, and my fiance would really like either a new or old Beetle convertible, or an old Morris Minor convertible as her wedding car.

We've searched online, but the only places that we found wanted an extra £200+ on top to deliver.

Just wondered if anyone had on, or maybe knows somebody who has one & perhaps would be prepared to help out/hire it to us for a few hours. It would literally be from about 11am to mid-afternoon & it'll be mid-summer so nice and warm

We are in Frome, Somerset.

If anyone can help, or offer any advice that would really be brilliant.

P.S. Not wanting to sound picky, but the car will need to be tidy & original.....i just want my lady to have a special day

I'd go for the Minor (and I loathe BMC/Leyland/Morris products!) - just a cooler car in general.

Best bet is to contact one of the larger owner's clubs. Most classic owners love nothing more than an opportunity to grease up the trunnions and fiddle with the gudgeon pins so that somebody can ogle over their restored vehicle. I'm sure finding an enthusiast owner willing to hire their car for the day won't be a problem

I did try Beetle owners clubs, but there seems to be certain people who hire their cars for weddings & they were too far away

I'll keep trying, but thought i had noting to loose posting on here.

I've just registered on their messageboard, it appears that this is quite a common reqeuest!

I'm going to email a couple of local branches to see if anyone can help.

When I was at the show at the Shepton Mallet showground last year, the MMOC owners club stand had a wedding theme, so looks like there should be a few not too far from you. A quality choice
