Just being suspended for not updating my card details for my Xbox live gold subscription this morning :( Just ran out and paid for a 3mth Gold code but I cannot get it to register??? Has anybody got a spare 24/48 hour one that I can try? Looks like a trip back to the shop to get a refund! :(

That the thing I can’t :confused: It says you need to be logged into Live to update payment and redeem the code but it’s says I’m suspended from live due the payment issue therefore I can’t sign into live and enter the code???


What a farce!
 
No I don’t have live at all; Doesn’t let me connect and when I try I get a message saying something like, 'suspended please update payment method’
 
I had exactly the same problem. MS had tried to renew my account with an out of date CC and then suspended my account (rather than just drop it to silver, which is what I would have expected).

When I tried to enter a 12 month code online it wouldn't accept it until I updated my CC details, at which point the 12 month subscription was automatically renewed so I've ended up with 24 months.

Really stinks if you ask me. Stick with pre-paid cards is my advice. Don't give MS any card details.

How did you update your card details? Did you have to phone MS?

Someone had this exact problem forums (I read the thread yesterday) and he got someone from MS on the phone to fix it (I believe he is due a callback to resolve it). For the life of me I cannot recall what the thread title was.

The thread was about someone buying a code of the auction site that didn't work (for the same reason yours doesn't) possibly the thread got deleted?

Looks like I have sorted it :D I had a £9 Balance on my account as well as 500 MS points so it didn’t drop my down to silver what I’ve done is updated my payment details with my new card and it looks as though its sorted that :D


What are the rules of reselling an Xbox live 3month code? Can’t really be bothered about returning the card, would the MM be okay? If not the bay it goes? Let it go for £10 I think.

Was me in the FIFA thread.

They re enabled my account, deleted my card details and put me on silver, but as they did this i entered my code, then they cancelled my 13 months straight away lol!

They called me back and said they would send me a new 12 month code via email.

Still waiting on it though.
