Can anybody recommend a RVM adhesive?

As above.

I have an old E36 and the mirror has come away from the windscreen. I have tried various repair kits in the past but non seem very satisfactory.

The genuine item from BMW was something like £50 (Though my impression was that this was a workshop kit that was sufficient to fix multiple mirrors)

I was wondering whether anybody had found a product that they were happy with.

Fitted mine with araldite, it's not moved in 3 or 4 years.

Or use Loctite Rear-view Mirror Adhesive, the few times I've needed to stick something on I've used a heat gun or hair dryer to help it cure faster, give it plenty of time after to bond.

3M VHB tape, if it can keep an action cam solidly mounted to a helmet doing in excess of 3 figures after being out in the elements it shouldn't struggle with a rear view mirror.
