Hi,

I am trying to stream video to my 360, but because the Xbox Live is down.. it won't let me stream.. says I need to download some media files or something.. it worked 100% beforehand...

Is there a work around?

yeah apparently every time you want to play a video the xbox has to download the codec.
it doesn't store codecs, just downloads them every time.
so no xbox live, no ability to download codecs.

don't know of any workaround. Just have to wait to live to come back up.

Hmm odd. My Xbox downloaded and stored it's codecs once, I have never seen the same screen again. YAY.

Oh also, it is the PC doing all of the work when streaming via LAN just the Xbox acting as a screen/display adapter I guess.
