Can anyone else not deal with cleartype?

I find it makes me feel quite dizzy if I use a machine with Cleartype turned on, it's almost as if the text is slightly fuzzy but your brain keeps trying to make your eyes focus on it

seems to be very screen dependant, plus it's tweakable

I've noticed it looked awful in xp when I turned it on but never noticed anything wrong with vista

You need to tweak it based on your hardware setup and the fonts you use most regularly.

xp looks daft without some sort of cleartype on imo



at a low res, default cleartype can look shocking though

I love clear type on XP. Not sure about high resolutions but on a small CRT monitor the default text in comparison is disgusting. Not always best to have it on Word though as sometimes it can be a tad misleading and representing the true font look when its printed out.
