You never know, med interviews can never go well can they? 4/4 would be a brilliant achievement.

What course are you doing? Is it like an access to medicine course type thing?

4/4 would be special, but I'm so happy with Newcastle, let alone 3/4

It's an access to medicine course. 1 year, 6x Level 3 qualifications (chem, bio, physics, maths, epidemiology, research project). Hard work fitting it all into a year, 33% of the class have dropped out already. It's good fun though, LOVE being back in education.

UKCAT? How very, very true.

So many in my class have potentials to be incredible doctors. They're caring, empathetic, resourceful, confident, trustworthy, intelligent....

and they scored poorly on the UKCAT. Whether it was due to nerves on the day, unfortunate question selection, or just lacking in the ability for very quick mental arithmetic or spatial recognition.

I was lucky enough to nail the UKCAT, and as a result, it's opened lots of opportunities (I have 3 med school offers and awaiting a 4th decision). But you're right - it has VERY little to do with suitability or future potential.

Was finished before Christmas; got an offer from Oxford GEM. Withdrew from others before any movement except Southampton whom I'm waiting to hear from mainly as an ego trip (they generally don't interview) .
