Hi guys.

Had my PC over 3 years now and feel it's time for an upgrade. All i've done since I got this over 3 years ago is add an SSD. I want to be able to run the GTA V Redux mod when it comes out in a couple of weeks (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdB4ytHvX8o) - they've not released exact specs for it but I presume it'll take something fairly good.

Currently I have

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz OC'd to 4.0GHz
8GB DDR3 Patriot RAM
Gigabyte Technology Z77-D3H motherboard
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 graphics

PSU and cooling is OK, I got really decent stuff when I first bought it and my PC is as cool as a cucumber all the time.

Any help would be amazing - thank you!

Your CPU should be fine for a while yet, GTA can be a little CPU intensive, but a new CPU will probably only net you a handful of FPS.

Might be worth going for 16gb ram, but far and away the best thing you could do is go for a new GPU. Theres a lot of good cards out at the moment to suit what ever budget you have in mind.

Really any of the new cards would be an improvement. What are you looking to spend and what resolution monitor are you using?

Thanks for the reply mate.

Using this monitor - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-VG248QE-24-inch-LED-Monitor/dp/B00B19T7QC - which is superb, so it really gives me room for improvement I guess.

I don't particularly have a £ in mind, just something that is value for money, aside from GTA all I play is CSGO, which you could run off a potato and still get 300fps, which is why the 660 has been decent for me so far.

Would it be better for me just to go straight for a 970? Not sure if that'd be overkill, especially given the rest of my system.
