can anyone please help

my friend upgraded his compaq presario f700 laptop from vista to windows 7 ......everything went well till he checked in device manger and the driver for "coprocessor" is missing

I looked on compaqs site and couldnt find any support and was hoping some of you brainy people might have a solution or work around

ps the gfx chipset is listed as.......... geforce 7000m/nforce 610m

Use the VISTA drivers and select 32 or 64 bit.

Go here for Nvidia driver: http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/indexsg.aspx?lang=en-uk

Look at Beta drivers & Archives, then in Product Type select Geforce, Product Series select Geforce Go7 series (Notebook), then look in Product & it's there the geforce 7000m/nforce 610m driver.

thanks nightglow tried your download link but its still showing the yellow triangle/black exclamation mark against the coprocessor in device manager

The link I gave you for the 7000m/nforce 610m drivers are the chipset drivers, so I don't understand why you still have the exclamation mark, as the coprocessor is within the chipset driver.

Did you upgrade from Vista to W7 via a upgrade or a complete fresh install of W7.
Can't you go Device Manager, right-click coprocessor device & click Update Driver?
