Looking to try and resurrect a Lenovo Edge E520 with a bad EPROM, I need a SOP8 chip to replace the defective one, can anyone assist me?

Chip is still on-board, I have the exact model number but I can't find a datasheet for it.

It's a MX25L320BEM2I-12G

Hello mate, no joy for mine as the chip isn't supported by flashrom.

Still looking into it, but decorating and running CAT6 have taken priority. I managed to get as far as querying the chip so flashrom was talking to the module via the FTDI cable (FT232H fwiw).

Reckon I can do it though.

Just a wee update, been talking with StefanCT (author of flashrom) over IRC over the last couple of days and he's given me a couple of things to try.

Really I think it just boils down to getting the right pins connected still, however it's been interesting to tinker with flashrom and re-write/compile bits in an attempt to troubleshoot.

Will give it a crack this weekend and let you know.

edit - oh and was that a "6" instead of a "B" in the model number? If so...
