A mate and I are looking at buying some comms systems for when we're out and about together but also for use when riding solo. Ideally looking for good voice communication between 2 bikes, bluetooth to mobile connectivity (for music, calls and sat nav) and radio.
Does anyone have any recommendations for systems that you have or have used? Ideally don't want to break the bank with this so the cheaper the better (without compromising on too much).

I've used Cardo Scala, Interphone and Sena. The Cardo had the best battery life and intercom range, Interphone battery was terrible as was the vox quality. Sena battery not as long as Cardo but the sound quality of vox and music was the best out of the three. Also it didn't "play up" like the Cardo did. Plus it just seemed quicker at everything, connecting bluetooth, flicking through music etc.

They may well have improved the Cardo Scala and Interphone since I used them last (2011-2012) so hopefully someone else may have experience with the newer devices.

None of them are cheap though! I used the Sena SMH10R which is £200. They do an entry level one for £100ish but that's per rider.

Thanks for that, I will look into the Sena some more. Do any of them support push to talk so that you can listen to music and have it auto interrupt when the other rider talks and vice versa?

Does anyone know of any approved Cardo dealers in the UK other than their own website?
I think it's between a set of Cardo Scala G9xs or the Sena SMH-10s but can't find a reputable site selling the Cardo Scalas...

Yeah, the Sena does that. I've had one for 2 years. Generally speaking a good bit of kit. Bluetooth can be slightly temperamental - for example my son can connect to me but I can't connect to him. I think it's from when we paired to 2 other people and probably needs a factory reset. Also the headphones are quite big and difficult to place in the helmet with rubbing against your ear..
