Can anyone recommend a place to sell servers?

Hi there,
I've got my IBM x3550 server to sell, as i don't have any use for it any more.
But other than the normal auction site, can anyone else recommend anywhere to put the server up for sale?
And how they should be valued?

You can try the classifieds on http://www.webhostchat.co.uk, web hosting companies etc might be interested in it depending on the spec. We recently shifted some old Supermicro gear on there.

Do you know the process of getting added by any chance?

Well, I tried ebay awhile go, asking £2000 for my server (bought it for £4.5-5k), but no one was interested. I guess it wasnt really the place to sell it.

Plus now that Paypal and ebay take huge fees now they're running a monopoly situation i'd like to avoid them.

My mate use to own that and sold it, now he realises how much he could have made on it

I dont know the exact requirements. Register an account with them and the information is in the FAQ.

Poor fella. How much did he sell it for? I think it generates somewhere around a couple of grand a month in ad revenue now.

The previous owners of Webhostingtalk.com also sold up very cheaply...

I dont know, he would not tell you, but the look on his face tells the story...
