Hello,

I am looking to replace my NAS drive with a pc that will act as a file server. The NAS drive is a little slow and too loud with the bloody fan always going. Anyone recommend a good shuttle size low power consumption and quiet spec please? Something like a AMD Venice 3000 would be fine or similar Intel.

Thanks.

Shuttle actually made something for this market with 2 Network ports built-in, but I cannot remember for the life of me what the model number was. It was a S478 Intel thing and it ran very, very well as a Win2K server for me.
