Can anyone recommend a smaller ATX case?

Hi, I've recently upgraded from a Athlon XP Mobile based system. As I've changed to a Core 2 Duo, pretty much everything has been replaced, HDDs, graphics card and so on. Its all reasonable stuff, with plenty of life left in it.

Rather than add it to my growing pile of old computer bits, I would like to use it as a Media Center PC or at least as close to one as I can get.

Its using a full size ATX Abit motherboard. Can anyone recommend a case which will accomodate this which is a) fairly attractive b) more compact than a typical midi tower case c) cheap-ish (£50 ex PSU tops I'd say) d) has good thermal properties without excessive numbers of fans

It doesn't have to look like a home cinema amp or anything like that. But the smaller the better :)

Cheers

I believe the Antec Super Lanboy is a "shorter than usual" ATX case, unfortunately OcUK's £30 deal on them seems to have expired, but they look pretty nice too, and are an excellent all-rounder.

Lian-li have a few atx cases that sit the psu over the motherboard so they are only slightly taller than the atx board itself, like the g50 and v600.

It does mean that you would have to stretch your budget a lil tho!

You can get an ATCs 500 case for that. :)

Someones proud of their new toy. :p

A new ATCs for that money, that looks this good is great!

The front port cover has a superb hinge and a little push in to unlock style presser thing. :p

No sorry, have not tried the G50 or the v600 yet.

I would take the G50 on paper, especially with how WJA96 found the v600's cooling.

Although the v600 is probably one the best looking cases of all time. :(

You're just trying to tempt me into spending money aren't you? :D That looks lovely. So tempting. If I had the room I'd grab a 630 too.

It looks like that from a £200 camera, through a plastic bag on auto focus in the hands of a spotted teen. :D

Absolutely stunning like the whole ATCs range, and yes I am tempting you!
