Can anyone recommend me a Splitting Axe/Maul

Not sure if this is the place for this thread but I am looking for a Wood splitting Axe or Mail, Preferably with a Wooden curved handle and at least 5lbs in weight. I can find plenty with straight handles or Fiberglass but none with a long curved handle Just wondered if anyone here had one or could recommend a good solid alternative.

Fiskers are also a good one but not cheap.

I have a cheap Aldi maul and it does the job, hard to know if others would be better without trying them i guess!

Ta, Think ill go with the Gransfors Splitting Maul £90 but seems to get some pretty good reviews. Reluctant to buy a fiberglass maul as keep reading that the resin comes lose pretty easily on the heads so they can come off quickly, Would rather pay more for something that is going to last than keep replacing every few years.

Yep, good choice, I got a smaller Gransfors and have used the splitting maul. Top quality axes that'll last a lifetime.

One good thing about them, they have a longer 36" handle, than a ordinary axe, more splitting force, they are expensive, but it is the Rolls Royce of axes, worth every penny.

I wanted a wooden handle so that kinda ruled out the Fiskars Axes.

Gransfors arrived today and will be giving it a run tomorrow morning before going to the cinema
