I purchased a laptop from PC Specialist a while back and to cut a long story short once I upgraded to Win10 some how the displays EDID got corrupted. As the laptop was still under warranty I sent it back in a hope they would contact the manufacture and re-flash the EDID.
They said no and emailed me saying that "to do that was like getting blood out of a stone" I'll have to buy a new display as my warranty only covered parts. I caved and they paid to replaced the screen. Previously the laptop was crystal clear but now it is like this:

What's this, is it extreme black-light bleed?

I'm in the process of returning it but they've mentioned that I may have to pay again and I just want as much information on this as possible. Thanks for any help in advance.
