Can ATI cards run on this?

It'll run an ATI card just fine. NVidia are just more shameless about getting "specially designed for nVidia" plastered across various component descriptions.

Be fine, and at a great price too

Think of it a bit like usb , it supports backwards if this makes sense, they are just adding more rails etc and more 6/8 pins as standard

Will probably have to do with less droop on lines i guess too

Thanks all for the quick replies. I wanted to go Nvidia, but with the DX11 coming oct I might hold out but get this bad boy ready :)

Thanks :)

Only thing you need to worry about is max current on individual 12V rails. Thats where monster graphics cards draw their power (IIRC). In that respect its often better to have fewer rails but for 1.25kW it seems fairly sensible to split it. That PSU seems entirely overkill, really can't see your system using that. Quad Crossfire wouldnt get anywhere near that on its own. Just my 2 cents.
