I've been with my particular setup for about 6 months, has been working fine no problems.

Now, and the past few days everytime I switch on the PC the fans spin up and lights come on, but only for a few seconds, and this can happen 3/4 times in a row.

After the 3rd or 4th time the monitor will usually get signal, post screen then windows...

I was just wondering if any one has had a similiar problem, and can it be related to the cold. This is at the end of the day and no ones been in the house, when it does first boot up get a reading of about 14c for system temp (but it goes up).

MAde sure all connections are fine and everything.

Latest bios.

Have the Phenom II 555 (stock 3.3ghz) @3.95ghz
2gb DDR2 800mhz
Running on biostar GF8300e mobo at the moment.

Its been stable at that clock for 6 months!

HT is @ 2080

Memory 416mhz (1:2)

Thing just takes 3 or 4 attempts to post past few days!

LOL..

Its a 650w OCZ Stealth X Stream...

Only other thing I have on it is one dvd drive, 1 hdd and a 5850.

Thing is when it does boot up (after 3/4 tries) it runs fine for hours...

Just if left off for more than say 5ish hours it will take 3/4 spin ups to post and boot!!!
