Hi lets say I buy a Zalman Reserator1 v2 and buy the best blocks and liquid for it etc can it be as good as the custom made Water cooling you guys make ??
Or do external water cooling units suck ?? If not which is the best ?
Some external systems are better than others. The Zalman Reserator1 simply doesn't have a large enough surface area to really dissipate the heat as well as a 120.3 radiator so no matter what blocks you get the water will not be as cool with a Zalman as with a bigger more efficient radiator like Thermochill or the like.
It's easy enough to make a custom external water-cooling system with a bit of MDF and some handiwork if you want that.
The first watercooling system i ever tried was a Koolance EXOS AI. Now most purists will gag at the mere mention of Koolance but I thought it was actually pretty good at the time. I cooled two 6800gts and a newcastle core 3800 with it and had zero issues. Custom built stuff will always outperform it however.
