As title really. I mean so far i cannot see any pictures on Ebay and on some forums. They just dont show. I cannot connect to MSN Messenger and some webpages wont open. Like Myspace will not open. Ive restarted my pc and the router. Any ideas what it could be? Im with AOL.

This is seriously getting on my nerves now. I cannot sign into msn messenger. Access Hotmail. Cannot Get on Myspace. Ebay pictures do not load. Many other sites just wont load. but on Speadtest its just the usual. My brother is getting the exact same problem and we are connected through the same router. Ive turned the router off and my pc off multiple times but to no avail. Done a virus search and found 2 Trojan Horses which are now deleted. anyone else know what the hells going on?

Crossy it sounds like I've got a similar issue,

But..

I can get on the internet.. get on xfire but can't get any online games to work ( COD 4, Steam )

My mate who also has AOL is having the same problem and my grandad who is also AOL is having very slow internet. I tried there online support and the page just wont open. so i guess im going to have to ring them.

Hi. Im currently having problems with my internet. It refuses to connect to MSN Messenger and websites like hotmail and Myspace. My IM port is open on my router so it isnt that. Ive cleared the PC of all spyware and virus's. I remember when i first built this pc i had faulty ram and my downloads would become cerupt (sp?) because of it. Can faulty ram be causing my problems?

RAM shouldn't be the issue, it's likely to be a problem with your firewall, router or ISP. As long as internet explorer and MSN messenger load fine and it's the internet that's not working, you can bet your bottom dollar it's not your RAM.

Well, as far as I'm aware anyway!

TBH the MTU thing is a bit beyond me:eek:

Only practical thing I can think of otherwise is to uninstall / re-install ,say, messenger and see if it solves the problem with that one.
