Can Gatsos get you on both sides of the road?

Just a quick question - does anyone know if a Gatso can successfully flash you on both sides of the road? For example, if you're overtaking and on the opposite side of the road, can the camera get you for speeding?

I had a look in the sticky to start with and read through the Gatso information but couldn't see anything regarding this.

Just to clarify, I'm not talking about a camera on the otherside of the road flashing me when I'm driving towards it, but a camera which would have flashed me had I stayed on my own side of the road. Still say no?

I'd assume so, otherwise you could just avoid the gatso by driving on the wrong side of the road

This is what I was thinking.

That's why they normally have markings on both sides of the road despite the fact that they can only "get" cars from behind.

In the situation I'm talking about, there are only markings on one side of the road.
