can gfx cards use YCbCr?

hi all i was woundering as i am building a media centre pc i was wanting to know if all fgx card have the option of letting you use YCbCr?

That doesnt make sense???
Your monitor can adjust your colours, and the software supplied within your gfx drivers can adjust colours. I might be being really thick, I cant see what youre asking

you on about component? if so then yes some can not sure if all can as my 320 is a few years old and that can use component.

i mean if you hooked the gfx card to a tv using hdmi can you select YCbCr as all dvds and blu-rays are YCbCr and not RGB

as with the ps3 you can have RGB or YCbCr, i have my ps3 and denon blu-ray set to YCbCr and was wanting to know if you can do this with all the latest gfx cards

I have never seen it for the pc as i think it is just rgb output,but my card is a couple of years old

I know with nvidia drivers you can choose between RGB & YCbCr as long as the monitor/tv is detcted as HDTV.

Yep, my 4890 supports YCbCr over HDMI.

Through hdmi i haven't YCbCr as a setting might try newer drivers

Thanks for that good to know, but one question what is this pixel format option as I see there is a couple of options for that.

Do you use thissetting on your tv ?
