hey guys, my friend and i both have the same card - the Windforce 7950, i have the 12.1 beta drivers he has the normal drivers

i have my card overclocked at 1200/1500 at stock voltage he however can not get his past 1000/1250 - could this be a driver issue as when i set my gpu to the clock as him we both are getting the same speeds/temps in benchmarks?

i am asking as he is slightly hesitant to download the beta drivers and just wondering if it would make a difference to overclocking.

thanks

Drivers can make a difference to overclocking but more often it comes down to the silicon lottery and how good your GPU chip is.

You may find you both get much better performance if you use drivers 13.1 or 13.2 as there have been big improvements in the drivers lately.
