hi All,

I recently got a topping VX1 DAC/AMP and paired it with a pair of Q Acoustic 2010i's.

I noticed you can get a Q Acoustics 2000Ci (centre speaker) which pairs up with the 2010i's - however if I did this could I connect it to my VX1? Looking at the connections on the back I only have Right and Left channel outputs - so presumable I need to stuck with 2 speakers..

Thanks in advance

Hi,
I'm thinking of the same combo of 2010i's and VX1, what has been your experience of the setup? Does the VX1 have enough power to drive the 2010i's at a decent volume without too much distortion. I was a little concerned as the 2010's are only 86db sensitivity at 6 ohm, and from what I have worked out the VX1 will put out roughly 19W @ 6 ohm, obviously that is max with 10% THD..

Any thoughts appreciated.

I've got the VX1 with the 3010s instead, you can read my initial impressions here (post no. 32): http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18649510&page=2

Can't say my opinion has changed since then, they're superb and I really like the VX1 now that I've bought some decent headphones as it allows you to keep them plugged in and just press the power button the switch between speakers or headphones.

Thanks for your opinion, glad you they work well for you. How would you rate how loud they can get vs distortion?
