Can I add none NAS drives?

Hi, at the moment I have
4x 8TB WD Nas red
1x 6TB WD Nas red

I'm using drive pool.

Im running out of space so need to add another drive.

I have a spare Seagate 10tb external USB hard drive, is it best to not add it, as it will slow my current drives down?

I have a HTPC and only switch it on When I'm wanting to watch a movie from the drivepool, so it's not a 24 hour NAS system

Any advice?..... Not sure if I'm best sticking to adding WD red drives only

It'll be fine. Drivepool works fine with different sizes, vendors and speeds.

Build an unraid server and use a parity drive.

You have zero security if a drive fails.
