Hi there,

Going through an online transaction, payment to me via bank transfer.

The person has asked me for bank details (standard - done it before)

...but for the first time ever i have been asked for name, home address and telephone number.

I am happy to give the information for piece of mind, but was wondering whether i could be victim to identity theft by giving all that information.

Thanks.

lol....do i know you?

...you'd be surprised...i'm rolling in it with the 4.05/hr primark job :p (im kidding - would never work at primark - but i am minted :p)

To be honest, I would be a bit concerned about giving that info out. He can also get you Postcode, family details, and he knows what bank you use.

If he was in any way malicious, he could close your accounts with that info. Just for a laugh of course. If he really wanted, he could write to the government and request to have your NI number sent to a new address because he had become concerned over the recent security lapses (and have it sent to his address)

All very unlikely of course....;)
