Hi

Well as the title states, I am looking to block access to a drive on my media server based upon an IP or MAC address.

The 'server's' OS is Win XP Pro x64.

I know I can set up usernames etc, but the device accessing the drive is a Popcorn hour, therefore, the username/password is usually kept static.

Thanks

Phil

Hi, thanks for the replies. Just to confirm, this is a home network, nothing special, just a few PCs acting as servers etc in a workgroup.

Also, its not a PC accessing the drive, its a Popcorn Hour (a media streamer).

Actually, I've just thought on, I suppose I could set up a dedicated account for the media streamer to use, which doesn't have access to that particular drive....hmmmm, wish I'd thought of that earlier.

Thanks guys.
