Can I borrow someone's CoD4 saves?

I can't get CoD4 to work at all...I get just past the mission where you rescue a tank ('Bog' on multiplayer) and the game crashes while loading the next level. It does it repeatedly, tech support have ignored me, a thread I had here a while back went nowhere, and I can't get it to work whatsoever. I've been playing the multiplayer more, but I'd kinda like to play the rest of SP at some point. Hoping to get the savegames so I can skip past this particular level (or even to a checkpoint somewhere in the middle of it). :(

Anyways, I've tried copying savegames from my brother's PC (and he's finished the game, so should have them all) and can't make it work - the profile shows up, but not the saves. I really can't find the savegames at all (even copying and pasting the whole profile folder does nothing, and the other 'Saves' folder under 'Main' is empty...), so if anyone would like to upload me them and tell me where to put them, I'd be much obliged. I can provide webspace to upload to, if anyone's willing.

I've got my own MP profile already, level 29 I think, with plenty of challenges etc done (M4 red tiger camo, here I come!) so I'm not looking to steal someone's multiplayer profile - feel free to leave those files out, I don't want them.

It would be much appreciated if someone could lend a hand here, or even tell me what I'm doing wrong in getting them across from my brother's PC.

Thanks in advance
tTz

:edit:

MP has gotten really buggy lately too, and in fact the whole stability of my system is deteroirating rapidly...can't seem to figure out why, but it seems kind of serious. :(

Use Rivatuner if overclocking with CoD4 as it protects it's memory from Punkbuster. (Which can cause crashes in MP as frankly, PB is complete ****).

Other than that, perhaps something is corrupted on your system? Have you tried a checkdisk/scan disk?

all hail punkbuster!

but really pb just annoyed me. i got kicked so many times until i found out that pb doesn't update its self. had to download a program that updated it.

I'm not overclocking, and the PC did a checkdisk itself recently. :(

On the plus side, I was/am really fed up and reinstalled CoD4 earlier today. Twice. It took forever. The first time, it didn't work at all. The second time, somehow, I finally got it working (including my earlier saves which is just plain bizarre, because I used the same method to copy them as I did to copy the later saves from another PC, and that didn't work). My current problem now is that one of the first missions doesn't work, which I found when going to 'New Game', but I'm past that now, so it doesn't bother me. 'Tis a bit odd though. Indicative of further problems, methinks.

Going to try some more thorough disk checking stuff this weekend, I think...I'd do a defrag if I thought it'd do any good, but modern PCs don't need defrags, do they? Nothing to lose, so I might give it a shot anyway. :o

Got halfway through Act II now, then the game crashed. On reloading, all the graphics settings etc were gone, and so were my saves. Looks like I'll need to play through from the beginning again, which is annoying. :o
