Can I cancel my contract?

I got a mobile contract with DotMobile, a reseller of Vodafone, and about 2-3 months ago, they went bust, I was transferred fully to Vodafone, I now looked at my bill and I appear to be on a different priceplan, I was previously on a 350 "Unit" plan where 1 text is half a unit (700 texts) or 2 units per 1 minute of calls, (175 minutes), but mainly it was mix and match and any unused units were rolled over.

So what is on my new contract:
250 minutes, 100 texts = £19.07 going by my last bill
no extra features and I dont get a refferal bonus either

As opposed to, lets roughly say:
50 minutes of calls and 500 texts = £20
Rollover/Mix and match

Do I have a right to be able to phone up and ask vodafone to cancel my contract as its not what I signed up for, im essentially a texter and they may even change my package to suit me or give me something to stay with them, I just think the benefits I got with dotmobile are far better than that off Dotmobile...

If i look on the vodafone website, they have this £20 package

£20 Per month 200 minutes, texts unlimited

Check your contract for operator switches, and price changes, these cowboys dont always follow the rules so you may have grounds or cancellation.

Ill be interested to hear how this goes, keep up updated or msg me personally.

Any changes to a contract must be notified to the consumer. Did take out another contract? Where you informed of any changes?

I was informed that I would be switching over as the company went bust and receieved various texts about my next bill from vodafone, but i didnt receive any new contract details, nothing about my new priceplan until my bill came through

A quick call to your local CAB should bring you up to date on all the legal mumbo jumbo that applies in these situations.

Hi

I would suggest giving Vodafone a quick call to get this sorted out for you.

The thing is, with the 'Units' is ,that everyone (on Dot) would have used them differently so Vodafone matched the price you were paying rather than the plan that you had. You can be changed onto something more suitable if you give them a quick call. Alternatively you can speak to someone via the online Contact Us form from the Vodafone.co.uk website. When you are writing your email pop in 'FIT 135' somewhere in the body (Not in the subject) and this will route it to the right team who will be able to discuss this further with you.

I hope I've helped :)

If your first vodafone bill was 10% higher than your last dotmobile bill you could have cancelled for free lol emails, letters etc where sent out regarding the transfer so it didnt just all of a sudden happen

Well, the first bill was £19, my bill this month is £25, I havent even gone over the messages and minutes for that month, the lass told me she changed it back to £19 when she changed my package but obviously thats not the case
