Can I cast to a Samsung tv series 6?

I cannot for the life of me get an actual proper answer to this.

I have a Samsung series 6 TV.

I've downloaded smart things, set it up on the TV and on my phone, and added the device so that I can use my phone as a remote so I know it's working.

What I can't find is any way to cast something to it. In particular I'm trying to cast Google play movies to it, but YouTube, Netflix etc, nothing shows the TV.

When I search I find stuff about screen mirroring, and that you can cast by doing xyz, but this isn't working and screen mirroring seems to be the end result. Not what I want.

Can someone confirm for me either way? Not a fan of the idea of buying a 4k Google chromecast just to get this 1 app to work.

tried it on my lg .. just cast from desktop .. runs 1 min then go's off

I struggled on my H6400. Some functions only worked with a Samsung phone.
Youtube, I used the cast icon in the top corner of the video. This only worked because the TV had a native app.
Everything else was a pain. So much so, I bought a Chromecast in the end, then a new TV.
