what are you missing from xp? if its domain joining (the only thing missing iirc) then google mce domain joining, and you can use an xp disc and recovery console to add domain functionality to mce
no I just dont like the Media centre - it hijacks my TV card and doesn't always successfully stop the media centre service so I need to reboot to use the card.
