Can i change my 'user' folder name in windows 11?

Hi, I have recently done a new install of windows 11.
I don't recall the installation asking me for a name for my user folder, but it has set one that's just a partial part of my email address, and I want it to just be my first name.

Is there any way to change this now it's all installed?

Try this
Add a new local account
Sign into it
Go to c drive original users folder
Rename it
Sign out and back into your original account
Delete the local account you added

Other methods would involve regedit

I'd be suprised if OP is able to sign back in to the original account after the folder is renamed.

I had the same issue when recently setting up Windows 11 with a MS account. It was easier to start again with a local account.

For anyone looking for a way to bypass the MS account, a few methods here

It's due to you logging in with your Microsoft account instead of creating a local account.

Myself, if practically nothing was installed I'd just reinstall. I know the username not looking right would annoy the hell out of me.
