Can i clock this any higher?

I have got my Q6600 on 3.55GHz at the minute and was wondering if you thought it could go any higher. The temps for it are 35 idle and 46 on full load according to speedfan.

yep till your load temps hit around 70c you can keep pushing

Just to be safe verify your temps with another program.

Ok will do , i aint fussed about testing it with prime95, aslong as it dont crash through my normal applications i am fine

if you dont want to be using prime or orthos i'd probably limit the overclock to a max of 60/65 just to allow the room that would otherwise be tested by those two prgrams.

Well, i have mesearued temp with another program and it comes up the same, so i take it that it is an accurate reading, tis on 3.7 now btw

see if you can hit the magic 4GHz

actually if your on air that might not be the best thing to try !

well no it could be a good thing to prove you dont need to spend over £20 on a cpu cooler for 4GHz

you can hit 4ghz on the stock cooler just your temps will go through the roof when you load it.. (assumming you are using the sort of vcore required for stability at that clock speed)

Core Temp says it is 60 when i got prime95 running
