Hi guys, firstly; sorry if this has been asked 500x before(I'm sure it has haha), but I really wasn't sure what to search for.

Basically the problem is like this, we own an old house, and an old barn (thick walls argh), and the plan is to renovate the barn, so there will be electrical cables between the 2 buildings and it'd be great to have Wireless and Wired internet in both (on the same phone line).

So basically I was wondering if it'd be possible to take the current ADSL setup in the house (regular BT phone cable into a Wireless router). Take 50m (or whatever) of Ethernet cable, and plug one end into the old router, and the other end into a new Cable Router in the Barn. So there would be Wifi and 4 Ethernet slots available for use in the Barn.

That's the simplest way I could see to sort this problem, but am I barking up completely the wrong tree? Or is there a better way? Thanks!

What you need to set up is a roaming network. eaisist Way is to See If the router has a pre made setting for this Buying a 2nd of the router and connecting then configering them.

Nope. That's it. The second router can be any type of router. I don't think connecting the ethernet cable to a WAN port on the second router will work though, so you'll only have 3 ethernet ports left for the barn.
