Can i connect my PSP to a PC with a WLAN adapter?

In my house i have a wired network to distribute our ADSL connection. I have a computer with a wireless network adapter connected to the network. I have tried to setup an ad-hoc network from my PC -> PSP but the PSP cant pick it up.

Should it be able to? and how would i do it?

In theory you should be able to...I don't know much on this as i use my wireless router but if you have an wireless access point on your PC you should be able to connect to it. Have you tried infrastructure mode as well?

Sony's interpretation of the term ad-hoc is a bit different to the true defintion. In PSP terms, ad-hoc means PSP to PSP only so only networks running in infrastructure mode will be picked up.

I've read about some 3rd party software that runs on your PC and gets around this problem, but no idea what it was called.
