Hi

Can I connect to my local area network when I'm out and about (i.e - not inside my LAN)?

I have windows server 2003 currently running with a windows vista ultimate machine connecting to it using DNS / Active Directory (all properly working!)

Cheers

cheers!!!!

Erm, one thing they don't seem to explain is how do i find out what IP address to connect into that isn't a local IP address

I'm on AOL and they give me an IP of: 172.159.179.115

I tried entering this as host name / IP address but it doesn't connect, yet when I enter server.mynetwork.com it works

any ideas? cheers

well yeah I know that it's 192.168.0.2 but if im outside of my LAN and enter that it's not going to work is it?

Doesn't it have to be an external IP address?

If so, where do I find this / how do I set it up?
