.RPT files?

I play a game called CrossFire and aftewr gameplay, it gives you the option to save gameplay and it saves it as an .RPT file, which is used to send in to the games admins so they can review gameplay if someone hacks...

How can I convert it to .avi or something or can someone recommend a GOOD and FREE gameplay recorder?

Is it an actual recording format? Never heard of it, would imagine if its a file generated in game then it would just be a log file or a game reply file which stores all the movement etc as they are a lot smaller.

FRAPS is good and free but will only allow you to record in 30 second blocks (unless this has changed?) and you would have to acquire the full version to do a recording.

game record files are almost always just scripts which instruct the game engine what to render - they aren't video files as such.

play it back and fraps record the playback!
